Rimigliano Coastal Nature Park
One moment you’re walking in the shade of the pine trees. The next, your feet are already in the sand. Why do families love the Rimigliano Coastal Park so much?

Because at the Rimigliano Coastal Park, every day can take a different direction. Some come to spend a few hours on the free beach, easily accessible even with pushchairs, others choose to walk through the Mediterranean scrub, while some prefer to explore the trails by bike or on horseback. All in the same place!
The Rimigliano Coastal Park stretches for approximately 650 hectares along the coastline and preserves one of the most valuable natural environments of the Etruscan Coast. Spectacular dunes and lush Mediterranean vegetation frame the trails, while the crystal-clear sea suddenly appears between the trees, offering views that amaze both adults and children.
Families especially appreciate the opportunity to alternate different activities: walks in the shade of pines, holm oaks and sessile oaks, relaxing on the beach, a picnic surrounded by greenery, or a bike ride along the trails that cross the park. It is precisely this variety that makes Rimigliano special: here, nature is not just observed, but experienced!
What to do with children at the Rimigliano Coastal Park
At the Rimigliano Coastal Park, nature becomes an experience to enjoy with the family.
Strolling among dunes and Mediterranean scrub
One of the most delightful ways to discover Rimigliano is on foot. The easy flat trails wind through one of the most fascinating and authentic natural areas of the Etruscan Coast, between sandy dunes and Mediterranean scrub, while the large maritime pines and holm oaks provide shade even on the hottest days.
For children, every walk can become a little adventure: observing the shapes of the trees, picking up a pine cone, listening to the birdsong – the park is home to larks, goldfinches, owls, buzzards, green woodpeckers – and following a path that seems to disappear into the greenery. Moreover, as they cross the park, the most observant children might even spot a squirrel leaping between the trees or a wild rabbit hidden among the foliage. In late spring, the pimelia appears on the beaches, a curious black beetle that leaves a distinctive trail of footprints in the sand.
Fitness journey
Who says a walk in the countryside can’t turn into a fun family challenge? A picnic in the shade
Sometimes the most beautiful experiences are also the simplest. A blanket spread out in the shade, something tasty to eat and the scent of the sea in the distance: at the Rimigliano Coastal Park, it takes very little to turn a break into a special moment to share with the family, making the most of the shaded picnic areas. A simple way to spend time together, relaxing amidst the greenery during the day.
