Gallorose Park Zoo: a journey among the animals of the world, near San Vincenzo
Did you know that just 20 minutes from San Vincenzo you can embark on a journey among animals from all over the world… without boarding a plane? An experience not to be missed during a holiday on the Etruscan Coast with your family. At Parco Gallorose, simply follow the trail to encounter South American alpacas, Australian kangaroos, Madagascar lemurs and animals from the Tuscan farm.
Visiting Parco Gallarose with children is a true journey to discover over 130 animal species from 5 continents, combining curiosity, nature and fun, and allowing youngsters to observe up close animals they had previously only seen in books, cartoons or on television.

A day among animals, nature and biodiversity
With its 45,000 square metres of space, featuring shaded pathways and over 14,000 plants, Parco Gallarose guides families on a journey through habitats, curiosities and animal stories from all over the world.
During your visit, you can observe lemurs, kangaroos, alpacas, llamas, emus, flamingos, birds of prey and many other animal species up close, as well as discover ancient domestic breeds that are now at risk of disappearing. A valuable heritage of species from every corner of the planet, which the park helps to preserve and introduce to new generations.
As they walk along the trail surrounded by greenery, children don’t just observe the animals: they learn to identify them, understand their characteristics, and discover how important it is to protect them. This is what makes the visit so engaging: the feeling of being inside a grand narrative of nature, where every encounter becomes a discovery and every species has a story to share.
A park that protects biodiversity

Behind every enclosure, every path and every species hosted at Parco Gallorose lies a purpose that goes beyond a simple visit: contributing to the protection of biodiversity. The park is actively involved in international projects dedicated to the conservation of animals and habitats, and supports organisations committed to protecting endangered species.
But conservation also relies on knowledge. This is why the experience has been designed to bring children and adults closer to the world of nature in a simple and engaging way, helping them to understand just how delicate the balance of ecosystems is and how important it is to preserve it.
The large botanical garden also contributes to this narrative. Among trees, shrubs and plants from diverse environments, it is easy to remember that animals and vegetation are part of the same natural heritage to be understood, respected and protected.
